How I'm Using Free Reward Sites For Getting Stuff

As we all know, one of the key points in paying down debt is the fact that we need to stop spending on our credit cards. The good news is, I don't have any major credit cards at this point in time to spend with. The bad news is, there are some major purchases that I'd like to make this year and when it comes to my plan of paying down my debt, there's not going to be a lot of money left over.

So, what to do? I need to find a way to subsidize my purchases without taking any money out of my pocket.

I have decided that I'm going to do this with three different sites: Big Crumbs, Swagbucks, and Reward Port. I have been a member at two of these sites for over 3 years now and while I have just started at Swagbucks, I am confident that they do pay out their rewards in a timely fashion.

I'm going to cover how I use each site to earn points and redeem them for rewards in the form of a Amazon gift card or cash.

How I use Big Crumbs to earn some extra money

I have been a member of Big Crumbs for over 4 years and they have never been late with a payment yet. Whenever I shop online I make sure to visit their site first to see if there's a deal that I can take advantage of and to make sure I'm earning any cash back that's available from my purchase.

My main purchases throughout the year are toner for my computer and domain names for my website. There are also some Christmas gifts that I purchase towards the end of the year as well. Since I don't earn cash back from my Amazon purchases at Big Crumbs I usually won't visit there before making a purchase, I still make sure to visit them before any domain purchase that I make from Go Daddy.

There is also a referral program with this site that allows me to make a little bit of extra money from the purchases of those whom I refer and this is where I make the bulk of my money. When they pay, it's in the form of a credit to my prepaid debit card through their company and I can allow the money to sit there until I need it. I won't divulge how much I make, but it's enough to make a difference for me in my plan to purchase a new TV.

How I will use Reward Port

I have been a member at Reward Port for over 3 years now and I really screwed up with them in the beginning. I signed up to their site and began receiving emails, but I forgot that I had signed up there so I was just deleting them. You get 1-5 points for clicking through a link on all of their emails, so I was just throwing money down the drain. After a year I figured this out and soon after I had earned enough for a $25 Amazon gift certificate.

It's not a lot, but Reward Port doesn't take a lot of my time either. Sure, I could get to a gift card faster by participating in their surveys, but I have found they take a lot of my time and energy that I could be using to build new websites, Hubs, and Lenses. In the long run, my online time is better spent there. I usually earn enough for a new gift card every 6 months, so I am happy just earning points from the emails that they send.

Over time everything adds up

Over the course of the year, all of the extra money I will earn from these sites will add up and I will eventually have enough to buy my new TV.

I am very busy online and when it comes to sites like this, I have to make sure that the extra time spent does not dig too far into any of the activities that make me more money online. The extra money I use in these activities is going towards paying down my debts and that's why I cannot use this money towards my "wants". Belonging to a couple of rewards sites that take up only a small amount of my time to make a little extra is just enough to keep my motivated and saving towards my goal.

Disclaimer: I have used referral links in this webpage, you can go directly to any of the websites and sign up as well. I'm just looking to help you out, I don't care if you use my referral link.
